background_emilyfb10-3-16 Started yoga teacher training last month at The Ashram. Had to take a weekend Raja Course on 9-17-16 thru 9-18-16 as a prerequisite. I was in a major funk because my listing wasn’t selling and it totally got me out of it after the weekend. Was taught how to meditate (transcendental meditation). It’s not official TM, but the owner basically teaches the techniques. It really works. Figured I’d learn how to rattle off the dialogue and the correct posture forms, but it’s so much more! Started reading The Heart of Yoga and I have a hunch that this is exactly what I needed in this phase of my life.

9-11-15 After working part-time from April 2014 to July 2015, I decided to go back into real estate. I have decided to practice real estate with Windermere.

I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Digital Design, Multimedia Design and Production from Lake Washington Institute of Technology in March 2013.

I also have a BA in Management & Human Relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University and an AA in Human Services from Washburn University.

In the past, I worked as an Executive Assistant and Real Estate Agent.

I’m trying to update this periodically when I get a chance. As of April 21, 2014, I went back to work part-time after staying at home with my daughter since she was born in July of 2008. I wasn’t looking to go back to work quite yet, but received a call from a friend and he talked me into it.

So far, it’s been working out. I’m wearing many hats with job duties ranging from bookkeeping, office management, graphic design, website design and management, etc. It’s a small startup company and I’m enjoying being back at work and my daughter loves her summer daycare.

In the past, I’ve worked for larger companies/corporations, therefore, my job responsibilities were more focused, but I’ve also been a real estate agent working out of my home and did everything myself, so either work environment is suitable.

Hopefully, the next time I update, I’ll have some more exciting news, but for now getting back to work is the latest.
